Cancellation of services and goods ordered.

Normally a free written quotation is provided for general installation and maintenance work which is to be started at at a later time or date, inclusive of materials and labour, with a fourteen day cancellation period for contracts of £42.00 or more. Investigation and diagnosis work to identify issues is chargeable at call out and hourly rates shown on this website.  Quotations are valid for twenty eight days.

 

However, if required, emergency call outs and other work may be carried out immediately or within the normal fourteen day cancellation period and work charged for on an hourly basis for as detailed below, plus the cost of materials or by quotation.

 

When arranging for emergency and other work to be undertaken as a call out and charged on an hourly basis, please feel free to have a conversation and discuss the potential cost stating how much your budget is with Andy Betteridge, who will always endevour to avoid unexpected charges.

 

If work is carried out during the fourteen day cancellation period you still have a right to cancel and can do so immediately by having a conversation with Andy Betteridge or by writing a letter and sending to 36 Constance Road, Worcester, WR3 7NF allowing time for delivery or alternatively sending an email to betteridgeandrew@hotmail.com or text to 07770814760.

 

Work will then cease and you will only be charged for what has been completed, both materials and labour. You will not be charged for any goods that can be returned to the supplier in the condition as originally supplied by them, but a restocking charge may be applied for non-stock items to cover the cost of returning the goods to the supplier, also you may be charged for any diminished value of the goods if returned after installation.

I paid [a deposit of £…] [the sum of £…] however, I have now decided that I don’t want the [item or service].

The Cancellation of Contracts made in a Consumer’s Home or Place of Work etc. under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 provide a fourteen-day cooling-off period, in which consumers can cancel contracts made away from the traders’ business premises.

I am hereby giving notice that I wish to exercise my rights under the Regulations and cancel my contract with you.

I look forward to having my deposit returned within seven days.
